Cake Compliance

There are powerful many organisation in the World – the UN, NATO, the WTO and the IMF. But some of the most powerful organisations operate (and always have) underground; think Illuminati and the Freemasons (please note that I was too scared to add Al-Qaeda to this list…)

In the South African National Treasury there is also such an organisation. Some people may never have heard of it; some may think it is an urban legend. But it does exist and has been operating in the underground ever since living memory.

The organisation only rarely reveals its powers over the Treasury. But when it does, it does so with incredible force and authority. It is dreaded, it is feared, it is… the Cake Council!

The other day, the Cake Council emerged with unprecedented vengeance and exerted its superhuman powers to impose harsh penalties and sentences upon employees of the Treasury, who were found guilty of acting against the Cake Council Code of Conduct:

Needless to say, I did everything to avoid the anger of the CC and spent my evening baking: Nigella’s Rocky Roads, Johanna’s Super Dooper Rocky Roads and Doctor Dan’s Quiche Lorraine!

PS: Slaving in the kitchen clearly paid off: The boss is happy! If not with my economics, then at least with my kitchen skills.. :)
