If you think you get weird E-Mails, think again…

I just wanted to give you a vague idea of the kinds of e-mails that fill my work (!) account on a daily basis…
Please note that sad news are not actually concerning National Treasury employees, but their brothers, mothers, sisters, uncles, children .. cats and dogs – you name it, they announce it! Usually this is followed by a funeral invitation and a thank you note! There are about a thousand people working in Treasury and African families are big – you do the maths!

PS: I apologise if anyone finds this distasteful or offensive, but it is merely supposed to show a sense of community that I don’t think exists in Europe.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family in this time of loss and bereavement. May the soul of the departed rest in eternal peace. Please remember them in your prayers.
